Juno Beach and Jupiter are neighbors on the Atlantic in northern Palm Beach County, and both are known for beautiful beaches. Juno Beach is a small oceanfront town; Jupiter is a larger coastal community with a wider range of homes and amenities. Here is how they compare.

Beaches and the Ocean
- Juno Beach: home to the 993-foot Juno Beach Pier, rebuilt in 1999, and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, founded in 1983. In 2023 the 9.5-mile nesting beach recorded a record 25,025 sea turtle nests.
- Jupiter: miles of Atlantic beaches, including dog-friendly stretches, plus the Jupiter Inlet for boating and fishing.
Homes and Lifestyle
Juno Beach is best known for condominium living by the ocean, with a quieter beach experience and natural dunes. Condo buyers should review association finances, reserves and inspection requirements, which I cover in my condo financing guide.
Jupiter offers the broader mix: condos, waterfront and golf community homes, walkable Abacoa and acreage in Jupiter Farms, along with more dining, shopping and events.
Jupiter Market Snapshot
In August 2026, Jupiter’s single-family median sold price was $1,022,000, with a median of 24 days on market. Juno Beach’s market is concentrated in condominiums, where pricing depends heavily on the building, its view and its association’s finances. I can pull current sales for the specific Juno Beach buildings you are considering.
Owning a Home: Costs to Compare
- Property taxes: each municipality sets its own millage, and your total bill also includes county, school and special district rates. Compare the actual tax bills on homes you are considering.
- Homestead benefits: a primary residence in either town qualifies for Florida’s homestead exemption and the Save Our Homes cap on annual assessment increases. File with the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser by March 1.
- Insurance and flood zones: waterfront and oceanfront properties often carry higher insurance costs and flood zone requirements. Get quotes before you are under contract.
- Association fees: condominiums and gated communities have dues that vary widely; review budgets and reserves as part of your due diligence.
Getting Around
A1A and US-1 connect Juno Beach north to Jupiter and south to North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. Donald Ross Road provides quick access west to I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike, while Jupiter’s main east-west corridor is Indiantown Road.
Which One Fits You?
Juno Beach may be the better fit if you want: oceanfront condominium living, a small-town beach setting and easy access to the pier and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
Jupiter may be the better fit if you want: more home styles and price points, boating via the inlet and river, and a busier dining and events scene.
