Abacoa is Jupiter’s walkable, master-planned community, designed in the New Urbanism tradition: front porches, tree-lined streets, alley-loaded garages and a town center you can walk or bike to. It is one of the most complete live, work and play communities in Palm Beach County.
At a glance
- Location: central Jupiter
- Planned size: about 6,000 residences at full build-out, with roughly 3 million square feet of commercial space
- Neighborhoods: 17 distinct neighborhoods
- Open space: 393 acres of preserved open space, including a 260-acre greenway
What stands out
- Abacoa Town Center: restaurants, coffee, fitness and specialty shops, plus a hotel, all within walking distance of many homes.
- Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium: spring training for the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, plus minor league baseball through the summer.
- Abacoa Golf Club: a public 18-hole course at the heart of the community.
- Education and research: FAU’s Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and UF Scripps are all here.
- Recreation: a community park with a skate park, playground and courts, free clay tennis courts, and neighborhood parks throughout.
Homes you will find
Abacoa offers single-family homes, townhouses and rental apartments across its neighborhoods, all built of concrete block. Some townhouses are zoned for live/work use, and neighborhoods like Valencia carry a consistent architectural style. HOA structures differ by neighborhood, so I compare them for every buyer.
Getting around
Central Jupiter location with quick access to Indiantown Road and Donald Ross Road, I-95, and Florida’s Turnpike. Many residents walk or bike to the town center, the ballpark and the greenway.
Schools: School assignments follow the address, not the town name. Check any specific address with the School District of Palm Beach County boundary tools, and I am happy to help you look one up.
