Tips for Buyers

• Lake and river homes trade at a premium; compare waterfront and interior sales separately.
• On late 1980s and 1990s homes, ask about roof age, impact windows and A/C; they drive insurance costs.
• Request the HOA documents for current dues, rules and any planned projects.
• Confirm school assignments with the School District of Palm Beach County.
