Juno Beach is a small oceanfront town between Jupiter and North Palm Beach, named for the Roman goddess Juno, wife of Jupiter. Buyers relocating here want wide natural beaches, oceanfront condominium living and a relaxed coastal pace. Here is what to know before you move.
Juno Beach at a Glance
- Population: 3,858 (2020 Census)
- Incorporated: 1953
- Location: on the Atlantic between Jupiter and North Palm Beach, along A1A and US-1
- Notable neighbors: Florida Power & Light headquarters and Seminole Golf Club
Why People Move to Juno Beach
- The beach: natural dunes and a quieter beach experience than many South Florida coastal towns.
- The pier: the 993-foot Juno Beach Pier, rebuilt in 1999, is a favorite for fishing and sunrise walks.
- Sea turtles: the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, founded in 1983, focuses on sea turtle research, rehabilitation and education. In 2023 the 9.5-mile nesting beach recorded a record 25,025 nests.
- Location: minutes from Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens and North Palm Beach.
Homes and Neighborhoods
Juno Beach is best known for oceanfront and ocean-view condominiums, with single-family homes and townhouses west of A1A. Condo buyers should review association finances, reserve studies and inspection requirements; my condo financing guide explains the 2026 rules. See my Juno Beach neighborhood guide.
The Juno Beach Real Estate Market
Juno Beach’s market is concentrated in condominiums, where pricing depends heavily on the building, its view and its association’s finances. I can pull recent sales for the specific buildings you are considering.
Costs of Owning a Home
- No state income tax: Florida does not tax personal income.
- Homestead exemption: if the home is your permanent residence as of January 1, apply with the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser by March 1. Homestead properties also receive the Save Our Homes cap, which limits annual assessment increases to 3% or the change in the Consumer Price Index, whichever is lower.
- Second homes and investment property: no homestead exemption, with annual assessment increases capped at 10% for non-school taxes.
- Insurance: rates depend on location, flood zone, elevation, roof age and construction, so get quotes before you are under contract. Condominium buyers should also budget for association dues and review any planned special assessments.
New Resident Checklist
- Get a Florida driver license within 30 days of establishing residency.
- Title and register your vehicle with Florida insurance; the state motor vehicle agency sets a 10-day window after establishing residency.
- File for homestead exemption by March 1.
- Check school assignments for your address with the School District of Palm Beach County.
- Plan for hurricane season, June 1 through November 30.
